Harlech in Eryri

Picture
Location
Bryn Celyn is located but a stone's throw from Harlech Castle which sits majestically on its rocky seat looking west towards Cardigan Bay. Overlooking the Irish Sea and surrounded by the stunning landscape of Eryri, this UNESCO World Heritage site tells a mighty tale of military might, architectural genius, and the turbulent relationship between Wales and England. Built during the late 13th century, Harlech Castle remains one of the most iconic medieval fortresses in Britain. Its history is rich, its presence commanding, and its significance undiminished by the passage of time.

Meirion's Story...
Discover the magical story of Meirion through the storytelling chairs. The story itself lasts about an hour, but the journey will be longer. There are five parts to the story to correspond with the five special storytelling chairs in Harlech.  But you do not have to visit all five chairs in order to enjoy the story. You can just walk part of the journey and still listen to the whole story.

We had an amazing weekend. The house was an incredible find. I actually couldn't believe how close we were to the castle. The rooms were spotless and the communication will our hosts was excellent. We would definitely stay again.
